Betting in Goa
Goa is a state in western India with a coastline that runs along the Arabian Sea. It is India’s smallest state by area and has the fourth smallest population in the country. Tourists, both domestic and international, flock to Goa for its beautiful beaches, flora and fauna, world heritage architecture, religious buildings and temples.
More casinos can be found in Goa than anywhere else in India. The capital city of Panaji has two large resort style hotels which provide gambling opportunities. One of which, the Goa Marriott Resort & Spa Casino, can be found at Miramar Beach, while the other, the Crown Lounge & Casino, is located within the Crown Hotel.
Elsewhere along the beachfront, one can find an array of resorts such as the Casino Goldfinger, which can be found in the Cicade de Goa Hotel on Vainguinim Beach.
Casino cruise ships such as The Pride of Goa can be found in the waters of Panaji. The Pride of Goa overlooks the Mandovi River estuary where many cruise boats and floating casinos illuminate the waters. The ship offers around the clock gambling opportunities for players aged 21 years and above.
In addition, a huge catamaran called the Kings Casino features modern gaming machines, video poker and table games such as blackjack, 3-card poker, 5-card draw poker, pontoon, baccarat and American roulette.
Two further floating casinos on the Mandovi River estuary are owned by the Delta Group. One being the famous Casino Caravela, the first sea-based casino to be granted a gambling licence. It has over 100 games machines and 16 table games. The other Delta Group vessel is known as the Casino Royale.
To the North of the capital is the Casino Palms. It is situated within the La Calypso Hotel and has business links with the Pride of Goa. Casino Palms offers around the clock roulette tables and games machines. On the Southerly part of Goa’s coast one can find other noteworthy casinos. For example, the Winners Casino and Hacienda de Ora, situated within the Holiday Inn Goa and the Majorda Beach Resort, which are both managed by Eastern International Hotels Ltd
An impressive venue known as Las Vegas - The Gaming Club is attached to the Leela Palace Resort on Mobor Beach. The complex is surrounded by acres of luscious beautiful coastal land which provides the perfect setting for its 12-hole golf course. There are a number of restaurants and bars to choose from as well as a spa. Gambling opportunities are available around the clock.
