Mirror Bingo
The Story of Mirror Bingo
The Daily Mirror newspaper is just one of many media outlets that have crossed over into the world of online gaming. It is backed by the newspaper's publishers, the Trinity Mirror Group, who can boast being one of the largest - and oldest - multimedia publishers in the United Kingdom. The Trinity Mirror Group sold their first newspapers as far back as 1832 and have not looked back since.
An advantage of being backed by such a large and well known machine is the free publicity that comes with it. The Mirror's website dedicates a lot of time and space to bingo articles with links to their own online bingo offering. One article I found laid out the five key benefits to customers playing Mirror Bingo as opposed to their main rivals. It boasted of the site paying out £5 million every month and the option to play casino and slot games in the breaks between playing bingo. The third reason was their link to the familiar and popular PlayTech network and the fourth, their improved chat feature. The final reason concerned their new customer promotion which will be set out in the 'Offers and Promotions' section of this article.
Mirror Bingo also offers a number of themed games and rooms with many of these tie-ins to television and film franchises. There's a scratchcard game based on the game show Deal Or No Deal and a slot machine simulator endorsing the Channel 5 programme Celebrity Big Brother. There's also Little Britain and Goldenballs games.
But do these advantages of playing Mirror Bingo outweigh the advantages of registering with one of their online rivals? We made it our mission to find out.
Navigating Mirror Bingo
Registered Mirror Bingo users can type their username and password in the boxes at the top of the page, thereby allowing them to access all areas of the website as well as such things as read emails, deposit funds and play bingo games. Those looking to try the website out before they sign up to Mirror Bingo's services can still negotiate their way around the webpage. This can be done most easily by using the red tabs at the top of the homepage.
This homepage is full of adverts for the site's most popular games. Clicking on one of these adverts will send the signed in user to the designated window where they can find out more about the game and, subsequently, play until their heart's content.
About halfway down the homepage is a bingo schedule that tells all customers about the bingo games that are coming up in the not too distant future. This easy to read list informs users about such things as the type of game that will be played; when the game starts and how much the entrance fee is. Other information includes the number of players that are signed up for it as well as the jackpot prize total. Such a simple layout will help those new Mirror Bingo customers. Further down the homepage are links to other popular games on the site.
Scroll right back to the top of the homepage to move around the different areas of the site. The 'Bingo' and 'Slots' tabs are the links you will want should you want to get down to playing games. On the bingo page is another schedule as well as more links to the most popular types of games. The 'Slots' homepage links the customer with all the slot simulator and casino games that they will be able to play. Unfortunately, there are no summaries as to what each game involves, hovering over the relevant image simply reveals the 'Play Now' icon.
With the 'Promotions' tab explained in the following section, the remaining tabs are fairly self explanatory. The 'Community' option links the users with all the latest Mirror Bingo news as well as enabling them to access the website's social media links; the 'VIP' tab concerns the website's loyalty scheme; and the 'Help' option is your port of call should anything come a-cropper. Failure to find your solution in this penultimate tab could lead you to using the very helpful 'Live Chat' link. This will allow you to speak to a Mirror Bingo employee in real time.
Offers and Promotions
Select the 'Promotions' tab from the red toolbar at the top of the Mirror Bingo homepage to view all of the brand's many promotions. It should be said that the company offer a lot of exclusive deals and services - more than we could ever fit on here - and for that they should be applauded. Also not featured in this article are those short term offers that are only up for grabs for a few weeks before becoming invalid. Should you sign up to Mirror Bingo, make sure you keep checking back on the 'Promotions' homepage to make sure you're getting all the latest deals.
It makes sense to begin looking at the new customer package that is available to all newly registered users. Customer just need to sign up, deposit £10 and spend this amount of money on bingo games to be in receipt of a £30 bonus. This bonus will be pulled from your account if there is no spend on it within the first seven days of the account being opened. Similarly, you must have wagered £30 before the bonus can be withdrawn into your bank account.
Once you have completed this initial new customer promotion, you will then be eligible to redeem a number of other offers and plenty of exclusive services. Perhaps the best of these deals sees customer receive 25% of their weekend stakes back should they have previously spend at least £10 on bingo between Monday and Friday.
Tuesday are a busy day for Mirror Bingo with a number of offers exclusive to the second day of the week. For a start a customer will get an extra £10 to play with once they have deposited £20 on a Tuesday. Should you not want to spend such amount, there is also free bingo sessions held on Tuesday, these taking place from 2pm to 4pm in the Mega Bingo room. The jackpot up for grabs is a massive £100! Finally, the 'Money Ladder' game takes place on a Tuesday with the jackpot starting off at £600 and increases by £100 every hour until it reaches the £1,000 maximum total! Tickets are just 10p and the games begin at 6pm and are expected to finish at around midnight.
More of a weekend person? There are £50,000 worth of prizes to be won on a Friday between the hours of 6pm and 12am! Simply head over to the 'Red Carpet' room for your chance to win the jackpot. Also at the weekend is Sunday's promotion that sees users receive up to 30% of their losses back on a number of games. The percentage you will receive back depends on your loyalty status in Mirror Bingo's scheme though those at the lowest level - A List - still receive 5% of their losses back. Not bad for a day's work. Be aware that the maximum total that can be claimed back is £25.
Find out more about the VIP loyalty scheme by clicking on the relevant tab in the red toolbar that tops each page! Further terms and conditions apply to all promotions and services.
