Premier League preview and odds: West Ham United vs Tottenham Hotspur
March 02, 2016 19:45pm - Boleyn Ground Stadium
Premier League
This intriguing top-six clash could play a big part in shaping both teams seasons, as European hopefuls West Ham host title challengers Tottenham at the Boleyn Ground in the Barclays Premier League.
Hammers undefeated in 11 at home
West Ham lost their first two home games of the season but have not been beaten at the Boleyn Ground since - a run stretching back 11 games. They have scored at least one goal in all but one of their home games including their last five in a row.
In their last Premier League match, Slaven Bilic`s men edged to a 1-0 home win over relegation battlers Sunderland. Prior to that, they were held to a 2-2 draw away to Norwich. The Hammers are just four points adrift of the Champions League places and just a point behind fifth-ranked Manchester United.
Six wins a in a row for Spurs
A run of six straight wins has put Tottenham Hotspur right in contention for the Premier League title. The North Londoners have performed consistently well all season and are now hot on the heels of pace-setters Leicester City.
Mauricio Pochettino`s men have not lost away from home since the opening day of the season, and have scored at least one goal in their last 12 away matches.
They come into this game on the back of a 2-1 win over relegation-threatened Swansea City. Their last defeat came on home soil to title rivals Leicester City back in January.
Team news
The home side have several players out injured including Joey O`Brien, James Tomkins and Carl Jenkinson - however, Enner Valencia, Winston Reid and Diafro Sakho are all due to return to action.
Meanwhile, the visitors will be without Tom Carroll, Moussa Dembele, Jan Vertonghen and Clinton N`Jie.
