Leicester City vs Stoke City - Premier League preview and odds
April 01, 2017 15:00pm - King Power Stadium
Premier League
Leicester City will bid to make it five wins from five matches in all competitions when they host ninth-ranked Stoke City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Leicester hungry for fifth-straight win
Since disposing of Premier League title-winning Coach Claudio Ranieri, Leicester City appear to have gone from strength to strength. They have won their last four matches in a row including a Premier League victory over Liverpool and a Champions League triumph over Sevilla.
The Foxes will be hoping to extend their winning run as they seek to maintain their Premier League status. With just six points separating them and third-from-bottom Hull City, there is still plenty of work to do to ensure that they avoid the drop, but they are in a much stronger position than they were five weeks ago.
Craig Shakespeare`s men have conceded at least one goal in each of their last eight league matches overall and have only kept one clean sheet in their last 10 matches on home soil.
Meanwhile, Stoke City`s quest to beat last season`s ninth-place finish now looks unlikely as they have fallen seven points behind Midland rivals West Bromwich Albion. However, Mark Hughes men will be keen to at least reach that benchmark for a fourth year running.
The Potters have won just one of their last seven away matches, having lost five and drawn the other and they have failed to score in their last three games on the road.
Team news
Wes Morgan (back), Nampalys Mendy (knee) and Molla Wague (dislocated shoulder) will all miss out for the home side.
Meanwhile, the visitors will be without Phillip Bardsley (suspended), Xherdan Shaqiri (calf strain), Glen Johnson (shoulder), Jack Butland (ankle) and Stephen Ireland (double leg fracture).
