Having bagged two away goals in the first leg against Shakhtar Donetsk, could Sevilla be on the verge of yet another Europa League triumph?

Sevilla with crucial advantage

Despite the level score-line, Sevilla will start the second leg of this Europa League semi-final second leg with a clear advantage thanks to the two away goals they picked up in the first leg.

The Andalucian side are now just on step away from their third-straight final and the chance to lift UEFA`s second-tier trophy for a record fourth time. They come into this game with a good home record, having lost just one of their last 13 games at home in Europe, recording eight clean sheets in the process.

Shakhtar still unbeaten

Shakhtar Donetsk remain unbeaten in this year`s Europe League competition and have a 100% record on the road, having won at Schalke, Anderlecht and Braga. Any victory on Thursday would be enough to see them through - however, a 0-0 or 1-1 draw would put Sevilla through on the away goals rule.

The Ukrainian side last paid a visit to Sevilla in the 2007 edition of this competition and came away with a 2-2 draw. Unfortunately, they were beaten 3-2 in the second leg and eliminated from the competition. They will be hoping for a reversal of those events this time round.

The home side still have a few injury concerns with Michael Krohn-Dehli, Jose Antonio Reyes, Benoit Tremoulinas and Marco Andreolli all out of action.
