La Liga preview and odds: Malaga vs Levante
May 02, 2016 20:30pm - Estadio La Rosaleda
La Liga
Bottom club Levante are six points adrift of safety with just three games left to play. Only a win will do on Monday night when they make the trip south to face mid-table Malaga.
Malaga winless in five
Malaga will be looking for their first win in five games on Monday night as they seek to secure a top-10 finish in La Liga. Los Boquerones have the joint-lowest goal tally in the league but only three teams (Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Villarreal) have conceded less. After a slow start to the season, this defence-first approach has paid off for Coach Javi Gracia.
The Andalucian side come into this game on the back of a 1-0 defeat away to Atletico Madrid. Prior to that, they played out their third drawn in the last five games with a 1-1 stalemate at home to Rayo Vallecano. Only Deportivo La coriuna have drawn more games than the Costa del Sol team this term.
Last chance saloon for Levante
Levante`s survival hopes may have died last week when they threw away a two-goal lead at home to draw 2-2 with Athletic Bilbao. However, with three games remaining, they still have a mathematical chance of staying up.
Realistically, Joan Rubi`s men need to win all of their remaining fixtures but with a home game against Atletico Madrid and a trip to Rayo Vallecano still to come, the outlook does not look. They have won just one of their last 21 away matches in the league, having drawn three and lost the other 17.
Team news
Recio and Weligton are both suspended for the home side, who will also be without the injured pair of Juan Carlos and Carlos Kameni.
Meanwhile, the visitors will be without the suspended Jefferson Lerma, while Ivan Lopez and Tono are both still out injured.

Betting odds and tips
Malaga don`t concede or score many goals at home and only two teams have score fewer goal away from home than Levante. As a result, a low scoring game can be expected.
