Arsenal vs Manchester City - Premier League preview and odds
April 02, 2017 16:00pm - Emirates Stadium
Premier League
Arsenal, who have lost four of their last five Premier League matches, will be gunning to end Manchester City`s seven-game unbeaten run when the teams meet at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Gunners looking to emerge from slump
A run of five games featuring four defeats has caused Arsenal to slip seven points adrift of the top four, albeit with a game in hand on their fourth-ranked rivals. They will now look to get their league campaign back on track by putting Pep Guardiola`s Manchester City to the sword.
The good news for boss Arsene Wenger is that three of those four defeats came on the road. On home soil, the stats make much better reading with six wins from their last seven matches. What`s more, they have lost just one of their last 12 at the Emirates (1-2 to Watford) since falling to Liverpool on the opening day of the season.
The North Londoners have won four of their eight home games against top-six opposition, having drawn three and lost the other one.
Meanwhile, Manchester City come into this game on the back of an unbeaten run that featured four wins and three draws. In their last four matches, they have only conceded a single goal (at home to Liverpool) and all of those games featured less than 2.5 Goals.
Pep Guardiola`s men have won their last three away matches in a row without conceding a goal, although all three of those matches came against sides in the bottom half of the table.
With their opponents desperate for a win, the Sky Blues may look to take advantage by hitting them on the counter-attack. They do appear to perform better on the road and remarkably, they have yet to draw on their travels. However, two of their four away defeats came against sides in the top four. The others came against seventh-ranked Everton and reigning champions Leicester City.
Team news
The home side will be without Mesut Ozil (hamstring), Lucas Perez (thigh), Petr Cech (calf strain), Kieran Gibbs (knock) and Santi Cazorla (Achilles), while Alexis Sanchez (ankle, doubtful).
Meanwhile, Bacary Sagna (groin strain), Pablo Zabaleta (knock), Gabriel Jesus (metatarsal fracture) and Ilkay Gundogan (knee) are all out of action for the home side.

Betting odds and tips
Neither side will want to sit back too much in this game, so there should be plenty of chances at either end. With Arsenal prone to bending under pressure in recent weeks, City might just have the edge in this one. Whatever the outcome, both teams can be expected to get on the score sheet at some point.
City to win and Both Teams to Score looks good value at 13/5 with Bet365.
