Champions League Group Stage
There will be a strained atmosphere at Old Trafford on Tuesday night as Manchester United take to the field against Spanish side Valencia. There is mounting pressure on boss Jose Mourinho who seems to have made little or no progress in three seasons at the club despite spending a significant amount of money. In fact, some have suggested the club is starting to regress under his guidance. With many fans losing patience with United`s limp displays, a strong performance here would bring some relief.
Last time out, the Red Devils were beaten 3-1 away to West Ham United. That defeat sunk them to 10th in the table below the likes of Wolves, Leicester City, AFC Bournemouth and Watford. It also marked their worst start to a season on more than 28 years.
Prior to the loss in London, they were dumped out of the League Cup on after a home defeat (via penalties) against Frank Lampards Derby County.
Mourinho`s men began their Champions League campaign with a 3-0 win away to Young Boys and will hope to carry that form into this game. However, Valencia could provide a much tougher test.
The Spanish side have had a difficult start to the season themselves, winning one, drawing five and losing one on their opening seven league games. They are currently 14th in the table but are just four points from fourth place.
They began their Group H campaign with a 2-0 home defeat to Juventus after conceding two penalties in six minutes. Marcelino`s men warmed up for this match with a 1.0 win away to Real Sociedad.

Betting odds and tips
With United feeling the tension and the Spaniard`s form improving a close game can be expected. Valencia`s last five games have all featured less than 2.5 goals and a similar outcome can be expected here.
You can back Under 2.5 Goals at 19/20.
