Premier League preview and odds: Swansea City vs Burnley
March 04, 2017 15:00 pm - Liberty Stadium
Premier League
Swansea City will look to keep their heads above the relegation water when they face mid-table Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon. Meanwhile, the visitors will continue their search for a first away win of the campaign.
Swansea on course for survival
A run of four wins in seven matches has lifted Swansea City off the foot of the table and out of the relegation zone. The Welsh side put in another good display last week but were not able to see off the challenge of leagues leaders Chelsea who condemned them to a 3-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge.
The Swans won their last two matches at the Liberty Stadium and should be coming into this game in confident mood, especially when considering the away form of their opponents.
Meanwhile, Burnley are still looking for their first away win of the season but will be boosted by the fact that they at least picked up a point on their recent visit to Hull. Remarkably, that was only the second point that they have recorded on the road all season.
On a positive note, the Clarets have scored at least one goal in each of their last 10 matches. However, they have only kept one clean sheet on the road.
Team news
Nathan Dyer (achilles) is still out of action for the home side, while Sung-Yueng Ki (knee) and Jefferson Montero (hamstring) are still doubtful.
Meanwhile, Ashley Barnes is suspended for the visitors, while Dean Marney (ACL) and Kevin Long (knee) will also miss out through injury. Coach Paul Clement will also hand late fitness tests to the doubtful duo of Johann Gudmundsson (knee) and Steven Defour (thigh).

Betting odds and tips
Despite losing to Chelsea last week, Swansea City look to be in good shape. They have won their last two at home and have won four of their last seven in total. Their three defeats under Paul Clement came against the might of Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea. In addition, their record at home against teams in the bottom half of the table is good, with five wins in their last seven encounters.
Meanwhile, Burnley are still without a win on the road, although they did pick up a point last time out and have scored at least once in each of their last five away games.
With all that in mind, the home win looks like the most likely outcome but both teams can be expected to mark the scoresheet.
