Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace - Premier League Preview and Odds
April 4, 2019 19:45pm - Tottenham Stadium (London)
Premier League
Tottenham Hotspur will christen their new stadium with a crucial clash against fellow Londoners Crystal Palace.
Spurs will hope their new home can give them a much-needed boost as they attempt to keep their top-four hopes alive. A run of four defeats and a draw in their last five games has left them in fourth place, level on points with fifth-ranked Manchester United and just a point ahead of sixth-ranked Chelsea. A maiden win in their new home would lift them above rivals Arsenal into third, on a temporary basis at least.
Mauricio Pochettino`s men took a while to settle when they made the switch to Wembley and will hope for a smoother transition back on their old stomping ground. The game will be preceded by an opening ceremony, but the players will be focused on getting all three points.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace have an eight-point cushion over the drop zone and look certain to remain in the top flight for another year. With just one relegation spot left to be taken, a win on Wednesday would almost certainly see them over the line.
They come into this game on the back of a 2-0 home win over already-relegated Huddersfield Town to complete a run of eight games featuring four wins, two draws and two defeats. Away from home, they have won four, drawn one and lost one of their last six, a sequence that included wins at Manchester City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Leicester City and a narrow 4-3 defeat at Liverpool. Roy Hodgson`s men will hope to carry some of that form into this match and spoil the Spurs party.

Betting odds and tips
Tottenham have lost just once at home in 2019, but the new surroundings could break their stride. What`s more, they face a team who have been strong on the road in this calendar year.
Palace have scored in each of their last eight away games and netted two or more in six of them making the Both Teams to Score bet look tempting.
You can back Both Teams to Score at 4/5.
