Premier League preview and odds: AFC Bournemouth vs West Bromwich Albion

May 07 , 2016 15:00pm - Vitality Stadium

Premier League

AFC Bournemouth will be aiming to halt a run of three-straight defeats when they welcome a West Bromwich Albion side who are winless in seven to the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

Safety assured for Bournemouth

With their Premier League status secured for another season, AFC Bournemouth could be forgiven for taking their foot off the gas. However, Coach Eddie Howe will be keen to halt their recent run of three-straight defeats as they look to finish as high up the table as possible.

The Cherries are only one place below their opponents in the table with just goal difference separating the two. They come into this game on the back of a 2-1 defeat away to Everton. On home soil, they have lost their last three games, although they did face some tough opposition in the form of Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.

West Brom in search of elusive win

Since hitting the 40-point barrier at the beginning of April, West Brom have picked up just one point from their five subsequent games, and have failed to win any of their last seven.

Just like Bournemouth, there have been suggestions that Tony Pulis` men are already thinking about their holidays. However, their performances have not been as bad as their result have suggested and they were perhaps unlucky not to have bagged more points during that run.

The Baggies have drawn three of their last five away games including the recent 1-1 stalemate against Tottenham Hotspur that had a major impact on the title race.

Team news

Adam Smith is very doubtful for the home side who will also be without Tokelo Rantie and Tyrone Mings.

Meanwhile, Alex Pritchard and Chris Brunt are out of action for the visitors.
