Premier League preview and odds: Crystal Palace vs Stoke City
May 07 , 2016 15:00pm - Selhurst Park
Premier League
Two teams who have gone off the boil in the league will play for Premier League league positions on Saturday as 16th-ranked Crystal Palace welcome 10th-ranked Stoke City to Selhurst Park.
Palace all but safe
Crystal Palace`s Premier League status could be mathematically confirmed this weekend regardless of the result in this fixture. However, if they can earn a point or better, they will not have to rely on other results going their way.
Alan Pardew`s men may have an FA Cup final to look forward but in the league, they have had little to be cheerful about. Since Christmas, the Londoners have plummeted from fifth to 11th in the table and have won just one of their last 19 games. On home soil, they are unbeaten in two having drawn 0-0 against Everton last time out and beaten Norwich City by a single goal in the previous game.
Stoke City set to miss target
Just a few weeks ago, Stoke City seemed to be on course for the highest ever Premier League finish. Unfortunately, a run of eight games featuring just one win has left the Potters stuck in the middle of the league table on 10th place, having played one game more than the teams immediately below them.
On their two away trips, Mark Hughes men conceded a total of eight goals in defeats to Manchester City (4-0) and Liverpool (4-1).
Team news
The home side will be without the injured trio of Brede Hangeland, Marouane Chamakh and Kwesi Appiah.
Meanwhile, Marko Arnautovic, Ibrahim Afellay, Jack Butland, Glen Johnson and Marc Wilson will all be out of action for the visitors.

Betting odds and tips
Palace have avoided defeat in their last two home games and were undone by a moment of magic away to Newcastle last time out. Meanwhile, Stoke will be missing some keys players and have looked poor in recent weeks.
Back Palace to build on their Wembley success with a second win at home in three games. The Home Win can be backed at 19/20 with Bet365.
