Sunderland`s fight for Premier League survival will continue on Saturday when they play host to recently dethroned champions Chelsea at the Stadium of Light.
Survival still in SunderlandÂ’s hands
Sunderland will go into this weekend`s match knowing that their Premier League destiny is still in their own hands. If Sam Allardyce`s men win all their remaining games, they will retain their top-flight status for another year.
The Black Cats have spent all season in and around the bottom three and are currently sat in 18th place, a point behind rivals Newcastle but with a game in hand. Remarkably, they have drawn six of their last eight matches, having lost one and won the other. However, they have failed to score a goal in any of their last three home matches.
Chelsea may have to settle for ninth place
Although they have a mathematical chance of catching eighth-ranked Liverpool, a ninth place finish is probably the best that Chelsea can hope for this season. After a disastrous start to the season, the Blues have made a steady recovery. Having lost just two of their last 19 games.
Guus Hiddink`s men played their own part in the title race on Monday night by coming from two goals down to draw 2-2 against Tottenham Hotspur and effectively hand their own Premier League crown to Leicester City.

Sunderland should be able to field a fill-strength squad for this clash.
Meanwhile, Chelsea will continue without the services of Loic Remy and Kurt Zouma
