If Watford are to end their four-game winless streak they will need to find a way to beat league leaders Manchester City who arrive in Hertfordshire unbeaten in 15 matches in all competitions.

Javi Gracias men enjoyed a bright start to the season but have since faded a little, slipping to 10th in the table. However, they remain closer to the top four than to the relegation zone and are just two points behind Jose Mourinhos Manchester United.

Last time out, they fell 2-0 at Leicester City and prior to that, they were comfortably beaten 3-0 at home by Liverpool. In fact, they have lost three of their last four on home soil and that statistic will be a worry for their Spanish boss.

The Hornets have lost their last eight encounters with Manchester City and have not beaten them since 1987, so history is not on their side.

Meanwhile, City extended their unbeaten run to 15 matches with a 3-1 win over Bournemouth on Saturday. That followed a 2-2 midweek Champions League draw against Olympique Lyonnais that secured their progress to the next phase.

On their last two visits to Vicarage Road, Manchester City scored 11 goals without reply cruiding to 5-0 and 6-0 victories so this fixture will hold no fear for Guardiola`s men.

Their last defeat away in the Premier League came nearly a year ago at Anfield and overall, they have lost just one of their last 28 domestic games on the road.

Everyhting points to an away win for the reigning Premier League champions.
