Premier League preview and odds: AFC Bournemouth vs Arsenal
February 7, 2016 13:30pm - The Vitality Stadium
Premier League
Bournemouth will be looking to put further distance between themselves and the Premier League relegation zone on Sunday, when they welcome a stumbling Arsenal side to the Vitality Stadium.
Just two defeats in last 12 games for Bournemouth
A run of 12 games including five wins, five draws and just two defeats has lifted Premier League new boys Bournemouth out of the relegation zone into 15th place in the league. They now sit on 28 points, seven points clear of Newcastle who occupy the first relegation position.
Eddie Howe`s men could enter the mid-table zone if they can beat title hopefuls Arsenal on Sunday. They come into this game on the back of a 2-1 win away to Crystal Palace in which new signing Benik Afobe grabbed his third goal in just four starts for the South Coast club.
Gunners drop to fourth
Just a few weeks after topping the Premier League table, Arsenal have plummeted down to fourth place. A run of four league games without a win has left the Gunners five points behind leaders Leicester City, and has allowed arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur to overtake them on goal difference.
Despite their recent wobble, the North London club still have a five-point cushion over fifth-ranked Manchester United. In their last game, they were held to a goalless draw at home by Southampton. Away from home, their only victory in their last six games came against bottom-ranked Aston Villa.
Team news
The home side will be without Callum Wilson, Tyrone Mings and Max Gradel, while Junior Stanislas remains a doubt.
Meanwhile, the visitors will be without Tomas Rosicky, Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere.
