Premier League preview and odds: Manchester City vs Swansea City
February 05 , 2017 13:30pm - Etihad Stadium
Premier League
Manchester City will look to return to the top four when they take on 17th-ranked Swansea City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. Meanwhile, the visitors could climb to 15th with a win.
City hope to take advantage of stumbling rivals
With Arsenal and Liverpool both losing, Manchester City could leapfrog both teams to take third spot in the Premier League on Sunday. The Sky Blues have endured their own wobbles in recent weeks but put in a convincing performance away to West Ham United last time out.
Pep Guardiola`s men are unbeaten in their last four league matches at home, having won three in a row before drawing against Tottenham Hotspur a fortnight ago. They scored two exactly two goals in all four of those games. Their only home defeat in the last 19 games came against current league leaders Chelsea.
Meanwhile, opponents Swansea City come into this match in good form, having won three of their last four matches. New boss Paul Clement seems to have made an instant impact and has already guided the club out of the relegation zone. A win on Sunday would lift them four points clear of danger.
The Swans have won their last two in a row on the road, having prevailed 2-1 at Crystal Palace before edging to a 3-2 win against Liverpool at Anfield.
Team news
The home side will continue without Ilkay Gundogan who is suffering from a knee injury.
Meanwhile, Oliver McBurnie (knock), Leon Britton (calf strain) and Neil Taylor (fractured cheekbone) have all been ruled out for the visitors, while Jefferson Montero remains a doubt with a hamstring issue.

Betting odds and tips
City have only kept one clean sheet in their last eight home matches and Swansea`s resurgent strike force could take advantage. While the home side should still be expected to prevail, the visitors should at least put a mark on the score sheet.
