Tottenham Hotspur kick off with a 3-0 advantage when they travel to Borussia Dortmund for the second leg of their Champions League clash.

Mauricio Pochettino`s men will want to get the job done with as little drama as possible when they make the trip to Germany on Tuesday. Both sides have suffered dips in form, but Spurs are clear favourites to progress having bossed the first leg.

Since then, they lost two Premier League matches to Burnley and Chelsea before drawing at home to Arsenal in last weekend`s North London derby. They now sit 10 points adrift of Manchester City in the league table.

Away from home, Spurs have lost four in a row in all competitions having previously lost just one in 15. That might be a slight concern heading into this game, although a three-goal lead should be enough. If they can grab an away goal, the hosts would need to score five to progress.

The lack of an away goal in the first leg could come back to haunt Dortmund who already have an uphill task on their hands. They must attempt to overturn a three-goal deficit in the knowledge that a goal conceded would all but kill the tie.

Lucien Favre`s men have won just one of their seven in all competitions and have seen their lead at the top of the Bundesliga completely eroded by Bayern Munich. They come into this game on the back of a 2-1 defeat away to Augsburg.

On home soil, their record makes much better reading with just one defeat in their last 20. That came via a penalty shootout against Werder Bremen in the German Cup.

Betting odds and tips

Borussia Dortmund have scored three goals or more in five of their last six home matches, but have conceded two or more in the last three. That should give confidence to Spurs whose main objective will be to score an away goal in this match.

With the home side needing goals, a fast and open match with a decent goal count should be expected. Dortmund should come out on top on the night, but Spurs should have enough of a cushion to hang on and progress to the next round.
