Premier League preview and odds: Sunderland vs Leicester City
April 10, 2016 13:30pm - Stadium of Light
Premier League
Sunderland will be fighting for survival at the Stadium of Light this weekend, while visitors Leicester City will be looking to edge even closer to a historic Premier League title. Sunderland need to break drawing habit
A run of four straight draws has not helped Sunderland to move any closer to Premier League survival. With rivals Norwich City picking up seven points in their last three games, the gap to safety stands at four points for the Black Cats.
Sam Allardyce`s men do have a game in hand over the Canaries but even if they can win that game, they would still be a point behind. A total of just one win in their last 10 games does not bode well for the northeast side, who may need to win at least three of their seven remaining games if they are going stay up. Last time out, the Mackems were held to a 0-0 draw at home by West Bromwich Albion,
Leicester City close to making history
Leicester City have a seven-point gap at the top of the Premier League table with just six games left to play. If they can hold their nerve, the East Midlands side could wrap up the title with games to spare. The next few games will be crucial for Claudio Ranieri`s men.
The Foxes have lost just one of their six away games in 2016 and will be favourites to prevail in the northeast. They have won five of their last six matches by a 1-0 score-line.
Team news
The home side will be without crowd favourite Duncan Watmore who is injured.
