The Tom Dascombe-trained Above N Beyond has attracted plenty of interest after his recent trip amongst good company at Lingfield and will start from a favourable draw. Dascombe has a good record at Chester and has opted to running two entries in this race.
His other horse, Arcananda also caught the eye at Doncaster last time out and has previous form on this track. His proven stamina makes him the preferred pick despite his less favourable draw.
The pick of the rest of the field is the Richard Hannon-trained Storm Rising who has looked very capable in his previous run-outs.
Betting odds and tips
There will be little to separate our top three picks in the betting but Arcananda just gets the nod.
