Chester Festival Tips: Perfection Secrets Handicap
March 05, 2016 16:55pm - Chester
(3yo, 6f 18y, Class 3)
Chester - Boodles May Festival
In this race for three-year-olds, there are five clear contenders. A good run out at Thirsk in his second race of the season has catapulted Reflektor right into the mix. Celebration followed him home in that race in what was his only outing so far this term. Those two should be in contention for this one although Reflektor has the slight advantage in the draw.
Justice Angel will need to improve on her Windsor appearance over this trip when she faded over the final 150 yards. A decent draw and a firmer going may help her along.
Alsaaden is starting from a low draw - however, she is coming into this cold having not ridden since last summer. Kingsley Klarion has shown plenty of character on the all-weather tracks and put in a decent display at Lingfield before struggling a little at Newmarket last time out. This trip will suit him and he will be starting from the favourable inside berth.
