AFC Bournemouth vs Stoke City - Premier League preview and odds
May 06, 2017 15:00pm - Vitality Stadium
Premier League
AFC Bournemouth will look to retain their top 10 status when they welcome 12th-ranked Stoke City to the Vitality Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The visitors themselves could leapfrog their hosts with a win.
Bournemouth looking forward to third-straight season in top flight
A run of two consecutive wins at home to Middlesbrough (4-0) and away to Sunderland (0-1) have lifted AFC Bournemouth into the Premier League`s top 10 places while also confirming their top flight status for yet another season.
Eddie Howe`s men will now set their sights on finishing as high as possible with a possible eighth place finish up for grabs. The Cherries have won three of their last four on home soil, their only defeat in that spell coming against league leaders Chelsea (1-3).
Meanwhile, visitors Stoke City are still on track for a top 10 finish themselves. Having finished ninth for the past three seasons, anything less would seem like regression for the Staffordshire team.
The Potters have won just won of their last eight Premier League matches and have failed to win or score a single goal in any of their last six away games. However, their mid-season form was good enough to keep them clear of the relegation battle. Theoretically they could still face the drop but it would take an extraordinary set of results for this to happen.
When the two sides met at the Bet365 Stadium back in November, it was the South Coast side that came out on top thanks to a single goal from Nathan Ake.

Betting odds and tips
Bournemouth have earned two thirds of their points at home this term and are coming up against a side who have failed to score away from home in six matches. As a result, the home Win to Nil looks like a decent bet.
You can back AFC Bournemouth to Win to Nil at 10/3 with Bet365.
