Premier League
Top-four hopefuls Manchester United will host middle-of-the-road West Bromwich Albion in a Premier League clash at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
United keen to maintain title challenge
Manchester United are by no means the powerhouse they once were but they have managed to stay within touching distance of the league leaders without being at their best. Their title aspirations have been dented by two successive goalless draws against rivals Manchester City and Crystal Palace.
Their two-game winless run in the league was complemented by a League Cup defeat to Middlesbrough, before they finally got back to winning ways with a 1-0 triumph over CSKA Moscow in the mid-week Champions League clash.
In the last league match, the Red Devils defensive unit did well to earn their team a point against a determined Palace attack. Louis van Gaals men have been pretty toothless themselves having scored just one goal in the last four matches in all competitions.
Steady but unremarkable Baggies
West Brom may not catch the eye with their style of play and they are unlikely to threaten the top six, but there are plenty of clubs that would be thankful for the luxury of such mid-table mediocracy. With a steady mix of wins and defeats, combined with the odd draw, the Baggies continue to go about their business in an unassuming fashion.
Their last league game saw some late excitement as they reduced a 3-1 deficit at Leicester to just a single goal with six minutes left. Despite some late pressure from Tony Pulis men, they could not rescue a point from the game. They will certainly make life uncomfortable for the 20-time league winners this weekend.
Team news
Uniteds injury list currently consists of Luke Shaw, Paddy McNair and Antonio Valencia, while Matteo Darmian is out through suspension. Morgan Schneiderlin faces a late fitness test.
The visitors are still without goalkeeper Ben Foster while Chris Brunt remains a doubt.

Betting odds and tips
United are struggling for goals at the moment but did manage to find the net in their European mid-week game. Their opponents have only lost one game on the road this season having conceded just two goals in the process.
This could be tight game and with United misfiring, the Baggies could just grab a point. The draw can be backed at 4/1 with Bet365.
