Premier League preview and odds: Norwich City vs. Swansea City
November 7, 2015 15:00pm - Carrow Road
Premier League
Two of the leagues current strugglers will do battle in Norfolk on Saturday when win-shy Norwich take on a faltering Swansea team in the Barclays Premier League
Norwich taking on water
Newly-promoted Norwich City are finding life back in the Premier League pretty tough going. Alex Neils men are winless in six and have lost four on the trot to leave themselves teetering nervously above the relegation precipice.
They may fancy their chances of curtailing their losing streak when they welcome a slacking Swansea team to Carrow Road on Saturday. Their only other home win this season came against another struggling side, when they waltzed passed lowly Bournemouth backed in September.
The Canaries fought to the bitter end in last weeks clash with table-toppers Manchester City but ultimately came off second best after conceding a late penalty. Although they were outplayed for most of the match, they showed a resilience that may have been missing in previous games.
Swans on the slide
Since beating Manchester United back in September, Swansea have played seven games and recorded just a single victory. That win came against Tim Sherwoods stricken Aston Villa team a fortnight ago. In their latest outing, they were thumped 3-0 at home by Arsenal in a game that seemed to pass them by.
While there is no shame in losing to the Gunners, it was the manner of the defeat that will worry Swans boss Garry Monk. The young coach is perhaps facing his first spell of real Premier League pressure as his team continues their slow but steady descent of the league table.
A game against 16th-ranked Norwich will give the Welsh side a chance to elevate themselves back towards the mid-table safety zone.
Team news
Norwich are hoping to welcome Dieumerci Mbokani back from illness, however, the injured duo of Matt Jarvis and Andre Wisdom will remain on the side-lines. Russell Martin will be missing through suspension following his dismissal at the Etihad last week.
Wayne Routledge could feature for the visitors pending a late fitness test. The midfielder has been out for a month with a leg muscle injury.

Betting odds and tips
This could be the game that reignites the season of either side, but who will prevail? Swansea have only lost twice in five away games this term, while Norwich have been beaten three times at home and recorded just one victory.
This will be a close game but Swansea should just edge this one. You can back the away win at 2/1 with Betfred. This game could come down to just a single goal so the 19/2 on offer from Betvictor for an away win looks like good value.
