Premier League
Liverpool will look to extend their 20-game unbeaten run at home in all competitions when they host seventh-ranked Watford at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
Liverpool are turning Anfield into a fortress again
There was once a time when Liverpool fans referred to their stadium as fortress Anfield, such was their dominance on home soil. After a run of 20 games unbeaten at home in competitive matches, that label can once again be applied to the home of the Reds.
Jurgen Klopp`s men are level on points with leaders Manchester City and second-ranked Arsenal with only goal difference keeping them off the summit. They come into this game on the back of an eight-game unbeaten run in the league.
Last time out, the Merseyside team triumphed 4-2 away to Crystal Palace to take their total goal tally to 24, a record only equalled by Manchester City.
Seven of the Reds` matches have produced over 2.5 goals scored and 77% of their goals against have come away from home. However, they have only managed to keep one clean sheet all season.
Meanwhile, opponents Watford are enjoying their second season back in the top flight and their first under the leadership of Italian Coach Walter Mazzarri. The Hornets are unbeaten in their last four Premier League matches and currently sit in seventh place in the table with a total of 15 points.
Away from home, the Hertfordshire club have been beaten just once all season (a 2-0 defeat at Burnley). They come into this game on the back of a 1-0 home win over Hull City.
Team news
Liverpool could welcome back James Milner who has been out with an illness, while Danny Ings (knee), Sheyi Ojo (back) and Joe Gomez (calf) are all undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, the visitors will continue without the services of Sebastian Prodl (groin), Isaac Success (hamstring), Kenedy (knee), Craig Cathcart (hernia), Stefano Okaka (hamstring) and Brice Dja Djedje (foot).

Betting odds and tips
Liverpool are becoming increasingly dominant on home soil with only Manchester United having taken a point from Anfield this term. Three of their four games have produced over 2.5 goals and a similar haul could be on the cards this weekend - especially if they fail to keep a clean sheet again.
