Premier League preview and odds: Swansea City vs Manchester United

November 06, 2016 16:00pm - Liberty Stadium

Referee: N. Swarbrick

Premier League

Out-of-form Swansea City will continue their search for a first win under new boss Bob Bradley when they take on Jose Mourinho`s stumbling Manchester United side at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday.

Swans winless in nine games

Swansea City are without a win in nine Premier League matches and have picked up just one point in their last six. New coach Bob Bradley has had just three games in which to make his mark on the team and will be hoping that his methods will start to pay off sooner rather than later.

Last time out, the Welsh side were well beaten 3-1 by a resurgent Stoke City. Prior to that, they played out a goalless draw at home to Watford, and bagged their first clean sheet at home in the process. The Swans have not won at home since they defeated Liverpool 3-1 at the end of last season.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are still struggling to live up to their reputation as the most expensively-assembled squad in the history of football. Mourinho`s men are already eight points off the pace having endured their worst start to a season since 1986. This coming just a year after the Portuguese boss led Chelsea to their worst ever start in the Premier League era.

The Red Devils have won just one of their last seven Premier League matches and haven`t won away from home since August. They come into this game on the back of a 0-0 draw at home to Burnley in the league and a 2-1 defeat away to Fenerbahce in the Europe League. They have failed to score a single goal in any of their last three Premier League matches.

Team news

Swansea City could welcome back Kyle Naughton from illness and Jefferson Montero from an ankle injury, while Nathan Dyer (ankle) will be out for at least another two weeks.

Meanwhile, the visitors will hand late fitness tests to Paul Pogba and Chris Smalling, while Antonio Valencia (broken arm), Eric Bailly (knee) and James Wilson will all be absent.

Swansea City: LDLLL

Manchester United: DLDDW

Betting odds and tips

Swansea City have been poor but they have shown small signs of improvement under Bob Bradley. They could be playing the 20-time former champions at just the right time as their confidence continues to drain with each poor result.

Manchester United have not won away in the league since August and could find themselves having another frustrating afternoon when they make the trip to Wales on Sunday.
