Arsenal vs Bayern Munich - Champions League Preview and Odds

Referee: Tasos Sidiropoulos
Champions League - Knockout Stage
Arsenal will need to overturn a 5-1 first-leg deficit to Bayern Munich if they are to reach their first Champions League quarter-final since 2010.
Odds stacked against Gunners
Arsenal`s season is in danger of petering out as their league form has dwindled and their Champions League quest appears to be over. Even the most optimistic fans probably won`t be expecting their side to progress to what would be their first quarter-final appearance in seven years when they take to the field on Tuesday night.
Only three teams in history have come back from a four-goal deficit in European competition but none of those recoveries happened in the Champions League.
Arsene Wenger`s men have lost four of their last six matches in all competitions and come into this game on the back of a disappointing 3-1 league defeat away to top four rivals Liverpool. In the Champions League, the North Londoners have only lost one of their last six matches on home soil. That defeat (0-2) came against Barcelona a year ago.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich arrive in London unbeaten in their last 16 games in all competitions. Recent results include an 8-0 Bundesliga win over Hamburger FC and a 3-0 win away to Köln last time out. The German side have not been knocked out at the quarter-final stage of this competition since 2011.
With a four-goal lead to defend, the visitors might look to bag an early goal on the counter-attack to finish the job off. Team news
The Gunners will be hoping that Mesut Ozil recovers from flu in time for this clash, while Mohamed Elneny (ankle) and Santi Cazorla (Achilles) are both set to miss out.
Philipp Lahm is suspended for the visitors, who may also have to do without the injured trio of Douglas Costa, Renato Sanches (illness) and Jerome Boateng (muscular).

Betting odds and tips
The visitors dont need to win but they do have a 16-game unbeaten record to defend. Carlo Ancelotti is unlikely to take any chances and will still set out to defeat his opponents. Based on recent form, Bayern Munich look well price to grab the win.
