In-form Real Madrid will try to maintain the pressure on the top two on Saturday when they welcome Basque Country minnows to the Bernabeu in La liga.

Five wins in a row for Real Madrid

Real Madrid kept their feint title hopes alive with a win in El Clasico last weekend. Despite that victory, they remain seven points adrift of the leaders with seven games left to play. Even if they cannot catch leaders Barcelona, they will be keen to overhaul their city rivals Atletico Madrid to claim second place in the league.

Los Blancos have won all but three of their home games this season with the only exceptions being defeats to Barcelona and Atletico Madrid and a draw against Malaga.

Eibars fading after strong start

Despite having won just one of their last 11 games in La Liga, Eibar remain in ninth place in the table, well clear of the relegation zone. A strong start to the season put the Basque Country side in contention with the European places but their recent run has ended any lofty aspirations they may have had.

Before the season began, it was expected that Mendilibar`s men would be involved in a relegation battle, so their current status as a top-half club can be considered a success.

They come into this game on the back of a 1-2 defeat at home to fourth-ranked Villarreal. Away from home they have drawn their last two but have won just one of their last 11.

Team news

Sergio Ramos will be suspended for the home side, while Raphael Varane is still out injured.

Meanwhile, Josip Radosevic, Lillo Castellano, Ekiza and Jaime are all out of action for the visitors.
