Valencia will try to halt a run of four straight defeats when they welcome a Sevilla side who have yet to win away from home in Liga to Estadio de Mestalla on Sunday.
Valencia looking for first post-Neville win
New coach Pako Ayestarán will attempt to win his first game in charge of Valencia when he leads them out at home for the first time this weekend. In their first game since Gary Neville was relieved of his duties, Los Che went down 2-1 at Las Palmas to extend their losing run to four straight games.
With just seven games left to play, last year`s fourth-ranked team are just six points above the drop zone with a tally of 34 points. A win would ease any relegation fears that may be creeping into the minds of the fans and players.
Sevilla still in search of elusive first away win
With the end of the season fast approaching, Sevilla are the only team yet to have won an away game in La Liga. So far this term, Unai Emery`s men have drawn nine and lost six of their games on the road.
In stark contrast, the Andalucians enjoyed a run of 13 straight league wins on home soil until they were undone 2-1 by Real Sociedad last time out.
The reigning Europa League champions are still chasing the European qualification places, while also defending their current crown.
Team news
On the injury front, Jose Gaya, Santi Mina, Joao Cancelo, Enzo Perez, Denis Cheryshev and Zakaria Bakkali are all out of action for the home side.
Meanwhile, the visitors will be without Nicolas Pareja, Daniel Carrico, Michael Krohn-Dehli and Marco Andreolli.
