La Liga preview and odds: Villarreal vs Getafe
April 10, 2016 18:15pm - Camp El Madrigal
La Liga
Villarreal will seek to cement their place in the top four this Sunday with a win over a Getafe side who are winless in 11 La Liga games.
Villarreal set for Champions League return
Villarreal are well on course for a top four finish and a return to the Champions League. A win this weekend would further secure their place in the top four with just six games remaining. The Yellow Submarine are eight points clear of fifth-ranked Celta de Vigo but remain 12 points adrift of third-ranked Real Madrid.
With a Europa League quarter-final also to contest, they could be in danger of taking their eye off the ball in the league. However, they will be expected to ease past a Getafe side who have been awful away from home this season.
Getafe looking vulnerable
Unless they can find some form soon, Getafe may be heading back to the Segunda division for the first time in 12 years. The club from Madrid have not won any of their last 11 games, having lost nine and drawn the other two.
Away from home. They have lost six in a row and have not scored a single goal in their last five away trips. As a result, they have slipped to 19th place in the table, just three points above bottom-ranked Levante.
Team news
Daniele Bonera, Mateo Musacchio, Jaume Costa and Jonathan dos Santos are still in the treatment room for the home side.
Meanwhile, Emiliano Velazquez is the only confirmed absentee for the visitors.
