Premier League preview and odds: Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United
April 10, 2016 16:00pm - White Hart Lane
Premier League
This weekend`s Premier League fixture against Champions League hopefuls Manchester United will be classed as a must-win fixture for title-chasing Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs title hopes fading
Tottenham Hotspur are not out of the title race just yet, but they must keep winning games and hope that pace-setters Leicester City slip up, if they are to stand any chance of claiming the league crown.
Last weekend, they fell seven points adrift of the top spot after sharing the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield. With just six games to go, time is running out for the North London side.
Mauricio Pochettino`s men are unbeaten in five at home, having won four and drawn the other. In their last home fixture, they cruised to a 3-0 win at home to AFC Bournemouth.
Champions League crucial for United
Manchester United have seven games left to salvage their Champions League qualification dreams. After falling well behind in the race for the top four, a recent good run of form has lifted Louis van Gaal`s men back within touching distance of the qualification zone. A win against Spurs on Sunday would keep them right in the hunt heading into the final six games.
The Red Devils have won four of their last five league matches - three by 1-0 score-lines. That run has lifted them to within one point of fourth-ranked Manchester City. If they are going to qualify for the Champions League next season, it is likely to be at the expense of their city rivals.
Team news
Erik Lamela remains doubtful for the home side, while Nabil Bentaleb and Clinton NJie will both miss out.
Meanehile, United will have to cope without Bastian Schweinsteiger, Will Keane, Luke Shaw and Wayne Rooney, while Phil Jones is a doubt.
