There`s plenty to play for on Tuesday night as Swansea take on Southampton at the Liberty Stadium with both teams Premier League future hanging in the balance.

Swansea are currently sat in the bottom three, while Southampton are above them on goal difference thanks to a point picked up at Everton last time out. Swansea are winless in seven and have lost three on the bounce without scoring a goal.

On a more positive note, they have won four of their last six at home and have won all three of their home games against their bottom six rivals. However, no team has scored less goals at home than the Welsh club. The new manager bounce that the club enjoyed following the appointment of Carlos Carvalhal seems to have subsided with the club last winning a game over two months ago. Since then they have played seven, drawn three and lost four.

Meanwhile, the Saints will arrive unbeaten in their last three and were unlucky not have won at Everton last time out. After Nathan Redmond had put them ahead with his first goal of the campaign, Maya Yoshida was sent off late in the game before Tom Davies snatched an excruciating equaliser in the sixth minute of injury time.

To be honest, Saints have looked awful on the road all season, having picked up just two wins away from St.Mary`s. They have also dropped 21 points from winning positions this term, only West Brom have a worst record.

Betting odds and tips

This game could shape the future of both clubs and also of those watching on as West Brom could be relegated depending on the outcome. Despite their recent winless streak, the Swans have only been beaten at home by Sours and Chelsea since Carvalhal arrived and they should at least avoid defeat here.

As a result, the Swansea/Draw Double chance looks like a good bet with a best price of 5/8 available.
