Euro 2016 Qualifier preview and odds: Hungary vs. Faroe Islands
October 8, 2015 19:45pm Groupama Arena
Euro 2016 Group F
Hungary are still in with a shot of automatic qualification for Euro 2016 and will be looking to keep the pressure on their rivals with a win over the Faroes Islands on Thursday night.
Hungary have neighbours in their sights
With just three points separating third-place Hungary and second-placed Romania, there is still plenty to play for in Group F. In the event that the neighbouring teams should finish level on points, Hungary would progress thanks to their head-to-head advantage.
Faroe Island on track for best ever campaign
To put themselves in with a chance of progressing, the Hungarian team must overcome a Faroes Islands side that has already managed to accumulate six points in Group F. All of those points were claimed in the two games against pre-qualification group favourites Greece.
When the teams met for the first ever time last October, the islanders restricted Hungary to a 1-0 victory in the Faroe capital city of Torshavn. The Faroese team have only conceded four goals away from home during this campaign and are hoping to achieve their best ever qualifying performance.
Team news
Hungary will be without Leandro who is serving a one-match while for the Faroes, Fródi Benjaminsen, Hallur Hansson and Brandur Olsen will also be missing through suspension..

Betting odds and tips
This game should be tight with the away side making life rather difficult for the Hungarians who are by no means a dominant force at home. Both bottom-of-the-table Greece and fourth-placed Finland went to Budapest and came away with a point. In fact three of Hungarys last five home qualifiers have ended with 0-0 score lines.
The home win offers little value but the draw can be backed at 19/4 with Betvictor. If you want to gamble on the home side playing out yet another goalless draw, a correct score line of 0-0 can be backed at a huge price of 11/1 with Marathon bet.
