Championship preview and odds: MK Dons vs Middlesbrough
February 9, 2016 19:45pm - Stadium mk
Championship
MK Dons can move five points clear of the drop zone with a win over high-flying Middlesbrough in the Championship on Tuesday night. A win or a draw for the visitors, would lift them back to the top of the table.
One win in six for Dons
MK Dons have won just one of their last six games in the Championship, although just two of those games were played at home. Their record on home soil makes much better reading with three wins in their last four at Stadium mk - the only exception being the 0-5 thrashing at the hands of Burnley.
Last time out, Karl Robinson`s men picked up a point on the road at Cardiff (0-0), and prior to that, they fell 3-1 at Bolton. In their last home encounter, they edged past Reading thanks to a single goal from Joe Walsh.
Middlesbrough winless in three
Middlesbrough have not won any of their last three Championship games but are still level on points with leaders Hull at the top of the table. A win or a draw would move the northeast club back to the top of the table.
Aitor Karanka`s men come into this game on the back of a 1-1 draw at home to Blackburn Rovers, in which they scored their only goal in the last three games. Previously, they were beaten 1-0 on home soil by tenth-ranked Nottingham Forest.
Away from home, Boro won four games in a row without conceding before finally falling 1-0 to Bristol City on their last road trip.
Team news
The hosts are still without the injured trio of Carl Baker, Ben Reeves and Matthew Upson.
Meanwhile, Middlesbrough should have a full strength side to choose from.

Betting odds and tips
MK Dons have secured a couple of good results at home in recent weeks but they were completely undone when third-ranked Burnley paid a visit to Stadium mk. Middlesbrough have added some considerable talent to their ranks in January and should have enough to get a result from their trip south.
