Premier League preview and odds: Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspur
February 11 , 2017 17:30pm - Anfield
Premier League
Liverpool will look to break a five-game winless streak by beating one of their top four rivals at Anfield on Saturday afternoon. Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur will be defending a nine-game unbeaten run when they arrive on Merseyside.
Reds aiming for top four return
A run of five Premier League matches without a win has left Liverpool stranded outside of the top four and 13 points drift of league leaders Chelsea. The Reds will seek to make amends by seeing off the challenge of the leagues second-ranked team.
Jurgen Klopp`s men have lost just won game at home in the last 12 months and have a good record against the other teams at the top of the table. They have scored in all but one of their last 19 home games and remain the leagues joint-top scorers with a total of 52 goals.
Meanwhile, opponents Tottenham Hotspur will look to maintain their status as main challengers to title favourites Chelsea. The team from North London are nine points adrift of the leaders but just three points ahead of fourth-ranked Arsenal.
Mauricio Pochettino`s men have won just two of their last nine away games and drew their last two in a row. They have already the rest of the top six away from home this season but have yet to record a win.
Team news
The home side will continue to manage an injury list featuring Dejan Lovren (knee), Ragnar Klavan (illness), Oviemuno Ejaria (ankle sprain), Marko Grujic (tendon), Adam Bogdan (ACL) and Danny Ings (meniscus tear).
Meanwhile, the visitors have defensive issues with Danny Rose (knee) and Jan Vertonghen (ankle ligament) both out injured. Georges-Kevin NKoudou (knee) and Erik Lamela (hip) are also crocked, while Kieran Trippier (hip) is a doubt.
