Kazakhstan vs Denmark - World Cup Qualification Europe Preview and Odds
June 10, 2017 17:00pm - Ortaliq Stadium
World Cup Qualification - Group E
Kazakhstan surprised many by holding Group E favourites Poland to a 2-2 draw on the opening day of the campaign but since then they have picked up just one more point and remain firmly rooted to the bottom of the table.
Last time out, they extended their losing streak in all competitions to three games with a 2-0 defeat in Armenia. In the two games prior to that, they were beaten 3-1 by Cyprus in a friendly match and demolished 4-1 by this weekends opponents in Copenhagen. They have failed to score in four of their last seven matches and have not won a match of any descri ption since they beat China away from home 1-0 over a year ago. Their last home win came way back in 2014.
Meanwhile, Denmark are currently sat in third place in Group E, having won two drawn one and lost two of their five games so far. However, there is just one point separating the second and fifth-ranked teams in the group so a lot could change after this weekends result.
They come into this game on the back of a midweek draw against World Champions Germany, a result that will certainly have given them a boost as they look to revive their qualifying campaign. The Danes missed out on Euro 2016 and will be keen to book their place in next summers extravaganza in Russia. Their home record has not been great but they should be expected to prevail against a side of such dubious quality.
