Premier League preview and odds: Hull City vs Crystal Palace
December 10, 2016 15:00pm - KCOM Stadium
Premier League
Relegation candidates Hull City will be looking for their first Premier League win in three matches when they host 14th-ranked Crystal Palace at the KCOM Stadium on Saturday. The visitors themselves are looking to break a run of three straight away defeats.
A win could lift Hull out of the bottom three
Hull City have a League Cup semi-final to look forward to but their Premier League prospects are not looking quite so rosy. The Yorkshire club are ranked 19th in the table just two points above bottom-of-the-pile Swansea City.
Mike Phelan`s men have won just one of their last 12 matches in the league and just one of their last six on home soil. They come into this match on the back of a 1-0 defeat away to Middlesbrough. Prior to that, they were held 1-1 at home by West Bromwich Albion.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace finally broke a six-game losing streak when they claimed a surprise 3-0 home victory over Southampton last weekend. That win has lifted some of the pressure from under-fire boss Alan Pardew but his side remain just three points ahead of their struggling opponents.
The Eagles have lost their last three away games despite having scored seven goals in that time. On their last road trip they fell 5-4 at Swansea City in a game that they really should have won. Prior to that, they were involved in another goalfest when they fell 3-2 at Burnley.
Team news
The home side will be without the injured group of Abel Hernandez (hernia), Will Keane (ACL), Moses Odubajo (knee), Greg Luer (knee) and Alex Bruce (Achilles), while Shaun Maloney (back) remains a slight doubt.
Meanwhile, the visitors could welcome back Loic Remy from a calf injury, while Connor Wickham (ACL), Steve Mandanda (knee), Jonathan Benteke (knee) and Papes Souare (leg) are all still undergoing treatment.
Recent form (League):
Hull City: LDLWL
Crystal Palace: WLLLL
Betting odds and tips
Hull City have conceded at least one goal in all of their Premier League home matches this season. In addition, they have conceded the first goal in all but one of their games at home or away.
Opponents Crystal Palace have conceded at least one goal in all of their away matches and have scored in all but one of them. As a result, this game looks like a decent candidate for a Both Teams to Score bet.
