Premier League preview and odds: Manchester City vs Everton

Manchester City will be aiming to keep the pressure on their title rivals on Wednesday night when they welcome an Everton side that has won just one of their last seven Premier matches to the Etihad Stadium.

City strong at home

Manchester City have won 15 of their 17 home matches in the Premier League including the last three in a row. However, they have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last eight encounters on home soil.

In their last game, they secured a 1-2 away win at ninth-ranked Watford, and prior to that they held title rivals Leicester City to a golless draw at the King Power Stadium.

Everton struggling for victories

Everton have won just one of their last seven Premier League matches, and have won just three of their last 13 overall. As a result, they have slipped into the bottom half of the table and now occupy 11th place.

In the last round of matches, they held fourth-ranked Tottenham to a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park and prior to that, they lost a 3-4 thriller at home to Stoke.

Team news

City will have to cope without Captain Vincent Kompany for at least another week, while Eliaquim Mangala and Samir Nasri are also out.

Meanwhile, Roberto Martinez could be without top scorer Romelu Lukaku who is suffering from a foot injury. Other Everton players that are side-lined inlcude Tom Cleverley, Seamus Coleman, James McCarthy and Tyias Browning.
