Premier League preview and odds: Tottenham Hotspur vs Leicester City
January 13, 2016 20:00pm - White Hart Lane
Premier League
Tottenham will be looking to maintain their place in the top four while closing the gap on one of their Premier League rivals on Wednesday night, when second-ranked Leicester City are the visitors to White Hart Lane.
Spurs showing consistency
Tottenham have been one of the Premier League most consistent teams this season and as a result, they have slowly risen up the table and are now ranked fourth. Only Arsenal have secured more points over the last eight matches, and only Leicester City have matched their record of just two defeats this season.
With just one defeat in their last 19 games, the North London side are proving tough to beat at home and away. They are fifth in the scoring charts but have conceded fewer goals than any other team.
Leicester hit season target
Claudio Ranieri has always claimed that Leicester`s priority was to accumulate 40 points to ensure their Premier League survival. Remarkably, they have achieved that goal with 18 games to spare.
The Foxes have only been beaten twice all season and are currently occupying second place in the league table. They come into this match on the back of consecutive 0-0 home draws against Manchester City and Bournemouth. However, the Italian Coach may be slightly concerned that his team has failed to score in their last three games.
Team news
The home side will be without Ryan Mason, Moussa Dembele, Clinton N`Jie and Alex Pritchard.
Meanwhile, the visitors will have to make do without Jeff Schlupp and Matthew James, while James Vardy faces a race to be fit in time.

Betting odds and tips
The two teams with the fewest defeats in the Premier League will go head-to-head on Wednesday so who will come out on top? Leicester have lost just once on the road (away to Liverpool on Boxing Day), while Spurs` recent loss to Newcastle was their only home defeat this term. The draw looks likely and can be backed at a decent 14/5 with several bookmakers.
