Crystal Palace vs Arsenal - Premier League preview and odds
April 10, 2017 20:00pm - Selhurst Park
Premier League
Crystal Palace will be looking for their first home win against Arsenal since November 10, 1979 and only the second in the club`s entire history, when they go head-to-head at Selhurst Park on Monday night.
Palace looking to pounce on wounded Gunners
Crystal Palace have already made great strides towards Premier League safety but with just 31 points on the board, there is still plenty of work to do for Sam Allardyce and his men. The Eagles have won their last two home games in a row by a single goal (vs Middlesbrough and Watford) and have won four of their last five in total. However, last time out, they fell 3-1 away to a resurgent Southampton side.
Following this game, the South Londoners still have to play Liverpool, Spurs, Man City and Manchester United before the season is out.
Meanwhile, Arsenal will look to break a three-game losing streak on the road when they make the short journey south on Monday night. The Gunners have won just one of their last seven away matches, having drawn one and lost five. Their last three away matches all ended in 3-1 defeats, albeit against top eight opposition.
With seven points separating the North Londoners from the top four places, a win on Monday could prove vital in their quest to qualify for next season`s Champions League campaign. Last time out, the North Londoners cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win over an out-of-sorts West Ham side, but this game could provide a much tougher test.
Arsene Wenger`s men have scored at least one goal in each of their last 20 matches and in 13 of their last away game. What`s more, 72% of all their matches have produced over 2.5 goals.
Team news
Yohan Cabaye (calf), Scott Dann (knee), James Tomkins (calf), Fraizer Campbell (muscle), Patrick van Aanholt (ankle), Loic Remy (muscle), Connor Wickham (knee), Steve Mandanda (knee), Jonathan Benteke (meniscus) and Pape Souare are all out injured for the home side, while James McArthur (back) is still a doubt.
Meanwhile, the visitors will have to cope without David Ospina (knock), Laurent Koscielny (achilles), Lucas Perez (thigh), Petr Cech (calf) and Santi Cazorla (achilles).

Betting odds and tips
Palace have been in decent form but were exposed again last time out when they were easily beaten away to Southampton. WhatÂ’s more, they have an awful record at home to Arsenal and have lost all six of the games that they have played against top seven teams so far this season. As a result, we expect the Gunners to come out on top in this game.
