Sunday`s lunchtime game will offer Liverpool the chance to bounce back from a morale-crushing midweek Champions League defeat to Red Star Belgrade.

The Reds dominated the game and should have been ahead in the early stages, but some wasteful finishing proved costly as the hosts struck twice and held on for the win. Klopp`s men now face an uphill task just to qualify for the knockout phase with games against Napoli and PSG still to come.

Despite that setback, Liverpool still have a title race to consider. They are currently sat in third place in the table with just two points separating them from leaders Manchester City. With City playing in the Manchester derby just a few hours later, they will be keen to bag all three points to put added pressure on their rivals.

The Reds remain undefeated in the league and have won all but one of their home games this season, the only dropped points coming in the draw against Pep Guardiola`s pace setters. In their last five home games, they have scored 12 and conceded just once. Overall, they have not lost any of their last 26 home Premier League games and they have a perfect home record against promoted sides since Klopp`s arrival.

Meanwhile, Fulham will look to drag themselves out of a slump that has left them bottom of the league table. Having spent big in the summer, the London club were aiming for a top-half finish, but that goal now seems unlikely with survival now the priority.

The Cottagers have lost their last five matches in a row and have just one victory to their name this season. Recent defeats to relegations favourites Cardiff City and Huddersfield Town have left fans scratching their heads. After all, the Londoners finished last season on a high playing some scintillating football to secure promotion.

Slavia Jokanovic`s men dont have a great record against top six sides, having lost all three meetings so far this term. They also have a terrible record at Anfield with just one win in their last 33 visits.

Betting odds and tips

This would be a tough game under any circumstances, but Fulham will be facing a Liverpool side left angry by their midweek performance. They will be fired up for this and should have no problem brushing aside the league`s worst performing team. With just one goal conceded in their last 10 home games, the Home Win to Nil looks like a decent bet.
