Manchester United vs Brighton and Hove Albion - Premier League Preview and Odds
November 10, 2019 14:00pm - Old Trafford (Manchester)
Premier League
Manchester United can move back into the top half of the table with a win over eighth-ranked Brighton and Hove Albion to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon. The visitors themselves can move up to fifth place with a win.
With just three wins from their opening 11 Premier League matches, Manchester United have sunk to 14th place in the table and are currently just five points above the relegation zone. A win on Sunday could move them up to seventh but would still leave them 15 points adrift of leaders Liverpool and nine points outside the top four.
With no end to their struggles in sight, the Red Devils have little to be optimistic about this season and the club seems to be clueless as to how revive their fortunes. The temptation to change the manager for the fifth time since Alex Ferguson`s departure must be strong but there are calls to give
Ole Gunnar Solksjaer a couple of more transfer windows to get things right. The big question is whether he has the talent and leadership skills required to lead the club back to the top even if he is backed in the transfer market.
The Old Trafford side have only been beaten once at home this season (a 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace) so will be favourites to take all three points from the game. In their last home match, they held Liverpool to a 1-1 draw and will hope to replicate some of the fighting spirit they showed in that match.
Meanwhile, Brighton and Hove Albion will have their eye on fifth place when they make the journey north on Sunday. They have won three of their last four Premier League matches beating the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Everton along the way. Away from home, they have been less successful with just one point from their last four. Their only away win of the campaign came on the opening day of the season at Watford.

Betting odds and tips
United bounced back from last weekend`s defeat to Bournemouth with a 3-0 win over Partizan in Thursday`s Europa League game. However, there is still a distinct lack of confidence at the club and Brighton will look to exploit that on Sunday. In contrast, the Seagull`s confidence is rising as they continue their progress under new boss Graham Potter. This could be a great opportunity for the South Coast club to grab a valuable away point to maintain their position in the top eight.
You can back the Draw at 11/4.
