Champions League Preview and Odds - Juventus vs Barcelona
April 11, 2017 19:45pm - Juventus Stadium
Referee: Szymon Marciniak
Champions League - Knockout Stage
Juventus and Barcelona will clash for the eight time on Tuesday night with the home side unbeaten in 21 European matches at Juventus Stadium.
Juventus looking for 2015 payback
The last time these two teams met in this competition it was Barcelona who prevailed 3-1 in the 2015 final. Juventus will be hoping to get revenge for that defeat by sending Luis Enriques men packing at the quarter-final stage.
The Bianconeri are unbeaten in 21 home matches in Europe and in their last 32 on home soil in Serie A. Despite that, they will be well aware of their opponent`s ability to find a way to win at this level, as displayed so dramatically in their incredible comeback against Paris in the last round.
Juve`s only two-legged success against Barcelona came in the quarter-final stage of the 2002/03 UEFA Champions League with Luis Enrique appearing in both legs for the Catalan club.
FC Barcelona will have been buoyed by that round of 16 comeback but they now travel to Italy in the knowledge that they have never won at Juventus. However, they did get the better of their opponents in the 2015 final and that win will be fresh in the memory of Luis Enrique and his men.
The visitors will be without midfielder Sergio Busquets who is suspended and will be going up against former right-back Dani Alves who made the switch last summer.
Team news
Mario Mandzukic (knee) and Marko Pjaca (ACL) are both out of action for the home side.
Meanwhile, Sergio Busquets (suspended), Rafinha (meniscus), Arda Turan (adductor strain) and Aleix Vidal (ankle fracture) are all set to miss out for the visitors.

Betting odds and tips
Barcelona have won on just one of their last seven visits to Italy and have lost three of their last five away games in this competition, with their only wins coming at Celtic and Borussia Monchengladbach.
As a result, the 7/4 on offer for a home win looks great value.
