Arsenal`s final position in the Premier League will be decided on Sunday when they welcome bottom-of-the-pile Aston Villa to the Emirates for this final-day clash.

Gunners eyeing second place finish

Having already qualified for next season`s Champions League campaign, the only question remaining for Arsenal is whether they will finish second, third or fourth in the league.

Even if they beat already-relegated Aston Villa at the weekend, the Gunners will have to rely on Spurs losing at Newcastle if they are to claim second place. If they somehow lose to Villa, they could get pipped to third place by Manchester City who have a better goal difference.

Arsene Wenger`s men are unbeaten in their last four home matches and come into this game on the back of a 2-2 draw away to Manchester City.

Villa bid farewell to Premier League

After years of over-spending, under-performance and instability, Aston Villa`s 26-year residency in Englands top flight will finally come to an end on Sunday.

The Villains broke a run of 11 straight defeats with a draw against Newcastle last week and will be looking to put in another good performance before they make the descent to the Championship. With many players expected to leave this summer, this could be a last chance to impress possible suitors.

Team news

It has been confirmed that Danny Welbeck will be out for several months with a knee problem. He will join Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Per Mertesacker in the treatment.

Meanwhile, the visitors will be without the injured Jordan Amavi.
