Manchester United vs Celta de Vigo - Europa League Preview and Odds
May 11, 2017 20:05pm (BT Sport) - Old Trafford
Europa League - Semi-Final, Second leg (1-0)
Manchester United will look to finish off the job they started in North West Spain last week when kick off against Celta de Vigo at Old Trafford with a one goal advantage.
United banking on Europa glory
Having rested players in the 2-0 defeat to Arsenal at the weekend, it has become clear that Jose Mourinho has put all his eggs in the Europa League basket in terms of qualifying for the Champions League.
His Manchester United team have rarely dominated in this competition with their last six games ending 1-1 or 1-0, mirroring their low-scoring habits in the Premier League. As a result, Thursdays game is by no means foregone conclusion and punters should be wary of backing heavy scorelines.
Meanwhile, Celta Vigo have also thrown everything they have at this competition, having little left to play for in the league, as demonstrated in last weeks half-hearted display at Malaga. That game fulfilled a run of five-straight defeats leading up to this match, during which they have only netted once.
However, the Galicians have proved to be tricky customer in this tournament, having lost just three of their last 13 games, all by single goal margins. They have lost just one of their six Europa League away games (3-2 at Ajax), having won three and drawn the other two.

Betting odds and tips
United can be expected to keep things tight, as is their current remit. As a result, the teams could well remain level at the break, a result that has paid out in five of Celtas last six and three of Uniteds last four in this event.
