Premier League preview and odds: Chelsea vs Newcastle United
February 13, 2016 17:30pm - Stamford Bridge
Premier League
Chelsea are will be hoping to bag their first Premier League home win in four matches when they welcome relegation battlers Newcastle to Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Blues unbeaten in nine
Chelsea have yet to be beaten under interim boss Gus Hiddink but they are finding victories hard to come by. Since the Dutchman arrived, the Blues have won two and drawn six and are still waiting for their first win on home soil.
As a result, the Londoners are still languishing in the bottom half of the table with a total pointÂ’s tally of 30. Last time out, they seemed to be heading for defeat at home, until an injury time strike from Diego Costa salvaged a point against Manchester United (1-1).
Four away defeats in a row for Newcastle
Newcastle united will be looking to end a run of four straight defeats away from home when they make the journey south to face Chelsea this weekend. The Geordies have scored just one goal on the road in that time and will be keen to take advantage of a Chelsea side that has not won at home under their current boss.
In their last game, the Magpies grabbed all three points at home to West Brom (1-0) and lifted themselves out of the relegation zone. Steve McClaren`s men are currently sat in 17th place on 24 points, just one point above the danger zone.
Team news
Chelsea could welcome back Loic Remy but Radamel Falcao and Kurt Zouma will both miss out.
Meanwhile, Newcastle have a whole squad`s worth of players reported as injured. Of those 11, Daryl Janmaat and Jack Colbert have a chance of being fit for this clash, while Paul Dummet, Chancel Mbemba, Siem de Jong, Kevin Mbabu, Vurnon Anita, Massadio Haidara, Tim Krul, Gabriel Obertan and Curtis Good are all out.

Betting odds and tips
Chelsea are still finding wins hard to come by, having drawn their last four league games at home. However, they will fancy their chances against a Newcastle side that has lost its last four away games, scoring just a single goal in the process.
