Premier League preview and odds: Southampton vs Crystal Palace
May 15 , 2016 15:00pm - St. Mary`s Stadium
Premier League
Southampton will continue their quest for European qualification when they welcome 14th-ranked Crystal Palace to St. Mary`s Stadium on Sunday.
Strong finish from Saints
A run of nine games including six wins, two draws and just one defeat has propelled Southampton back into contention for a European qualification place.
They come into this game on the back of a 2-1 win away to second-ranked Tottenham Hotspur. On home soil, the Saints have won six of their last eight including their last three in a row against Liverpool, Newcastle and Manchester City. However, they have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last five home games in the league.
Rare win for Palace last time out
Crystal Palace`s 2-1 triumph against Stoke City last week was just their second win in their last 20 Premier League matches. In that time, only Aston Villa had worse form than Alan Pardew`s men.
Away from home, the Londoners have not won a league game since the middle of December when beat Stoke City 2-1 in their own back yard.
Team news
Jordy Clasie is still out of action for the home side.
Meanwhile, Alan Pardew will have to cope without Yohan Cabaye, Joe Ledley, Brede Hangeland, Marouane Chamakh and Kwesi Appiah who are all injured.
