After a six-game winless run, Stoke City will be looking for a positive result when they welcome European candidates West Ham United to the Britannia Stadium on Sunday.
Poor finish to campaign for Stoke
Stoke City have won just one of their last nine Premier League matches and could find themselves slipping out of the top 10 with another defeat this weekend.
At one point earlier this year, the Potters looked to be on course for their highest ever Premier League finish but their poor run of form since has scuppered those ambitions.
In their last match, they became only the second team since the middle of December to have been beaten by Crystal Palace in the league when they fell 2-1 away from home.
Hammers fly the nest
Having triumphed in their last ever match at the Boleyn Ground, West Ham United will now look to finish their season with a win on the road. The Hammers are unbeaten in their last five away games and have scored at least two goals in all of them.
Eight of their last nine matches have featured four goals or more, the only exception being a three-goal tally at West Brom. A win at the weekend would mean that Iron`s fans would be able to watch European football at the Olympic Stadium next season.
Team news
Ibrahim Afellay, Jack Butland and Marc Wilson will all miss out for the home side, while Shay Given is still a doubt.
Meanwhile, Carl Jenkinson will be the only absentee for the visitors.
