Premier League preview and odds: Swansea City vs Manchester City
May 15 , 2016 15:00pm - Liberty Stadium
Premier League
Manchester City will be looking to secure a top-four finish when they travel to Wales to face top-10 hunting Swansea City on Sunday.
Boss`s future confirmed for Swans
Swansea City have risen from the relegation zone to 11th place in the Premier League since new boss Francis Guidolin arrived back in January. The Italian Coach has led the Swans to seven wins, three draws and five defeats during his 15 games in charge and as a result, has just been rewarded with a new contract.
The Welsh side come into this game on the back of consecutive wins at home to Liverpool (3-1) and away to West Ham United (4-1). On home soil, they have won their last four league games in a row.
Champions League football at stake for City
With Pep Guardiola due to take his place in the Manchester City hot seat this summer, the club will be keen to secure a place in next season`s Champions League campaign.
The Sky Blues are currently in fourth place in the league just two points ahead of their city rivals Manchester United. However, thanks to their vastly superior goal difference, a draw on Sunday would be enough to secure the final qualification spot. City come into this game on the back of a 2-2 draw at home to third-ranked Arsenal.
Team news
Gyfil Sigurdsson, Neil Taylor and Alberto Paloschi are all out of action for the home side, while Jefferson Montero remains a doubt.
Meanwhile, Aleksandar Kolarov, Vincent Kompany, Pablo Zabaleta and David Silva could all miss out for the visitors.
