Chelsea vs Cardiff City - Premier League Preview and Odds
September 15, 2018 15:00pm - Stamford Bridge
Premier League
Chelsea will look to keep the heat on league leaders Liverpool by making it five wins from five at the start of the season. Out to frustrate them will be relegation favourites Cardiff City who are still looking for their first win since returning to the top flight.
The Blues have made a bright start under new boss Maurizio Sarri. The Italy has given the club a boost after a poor second season under predecessor Antonio Conte. They have won all their games and only Liverpool have a better goal difference.
What`s more, they have transformed the way they play and are now one of the most attractive teams to watch in the Premier League. They have scored at least two goals in every game they have played and three of their games have featured three goals or more. Last time out, the Londoners eased to a 2-0 win over sixth-ranked Bournemouth.
Cardiff City`s only concern this season will be survival and any points they can take from trips to teams in the top half of the table will help their cause. They caused Arsenal a few problems last weekend but were left empty-handed following a 3-2 home defeat. Prior to that they played out 0-0 draws away to Huddersfield and at home to Newcastle.
Neil Warnock has not enjoyed much success in the top flight, having yet to complete a full season without being sacked. If he can remain in the hot seat and lead the Welsh side to safety it will be marked as a considerable achievement.
The Bluebirds have failed to score in three of their four games so far and will do to get on the score sheet in London. Recent Form (League)
