Referee: Szymon Marciniak (POL)

Champions League - Knockout Stage

After being twice eliminated from this competition by Barcelona in recent years, Paris Saint-Germain will out for revenge when the two teams meet in Paris on Wednesday night.

PSG unbeaten in this year`s Champions League

Paris Saint-Germain will be full of confidence when they welcome Barcelona to the Parc de Princes on Tuesday night. The reigning Ligue 1 champions cruised to a 3-0 win over Bordeaux at Stade Matmut-Atlantique on Friday night to extend their unbeaten run to 12 games in all competitions.

In-form Edison Cavani bagged a brace to take his total league tally for the season to 25 goals. The Uruguayan has now scored in each of his last six matches.

Another positive aspect of from Friday`s game was the performance of Marco Verratti, who has just returned to action after a spell out with a calf injury. The Italian put in an impressive hour-long shift and can be expected to start on Tuesday.

The French club will be haunted by the memories of 2013 and 2015, when they were twice eliminated from this competition by their opponents.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are making their 13th-straight participation in the knockout stages of this tournament. The Catalans have not had their best season in the league and currently trail leaders Real Madrid by a point, having played two games more. However, their form has improved in recent weeks and they come into this game having lost just one of their last 22 matches.

Last time out, Luis Enrique`s men eased to a 6-0 win away from home at Deportivo Alaves. They have lost just one of their last 12 away matches. However, they were defeated 3-1 by Manchester City in this competition back in November. The Blaugrana have a decent track record against French sides, having won their last three encounters with PSG.

Team news

Thiago Motta will be suspended for the home side, making the inclusion of Verratti even more likely. Javier Pastore has a muscular problem and will also miss out along with the recovering Grzegorz Krychowiak.

Meanwhile, the visitors will have to make do without Aleix Vidal (ankle fracture), Arda Turan (groin problem), Javier Mascherano (hamstring strain) and Rafinha (broken nose).

Betting odds and tips

Barca have won the last three encounters between these two sides, but they have only won one of the last four meeting in Paris. As a result, the match result is too tough to call on this one.

However, with MSN (41 league goals combined) at one end of the pitch and Cavani and Lacazette (45 league goals combined) at the other, both teams should be fancied to get on the score sheet.
